- The question needs to be asked: Who invited gun clubs to the 2022 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in Hartford, CT? And why?

On Saturday, December 17, 2022, a John Brown Gun Club chapter faced off against armed anti-LGBTQ+ extremists, including neo-Nazis, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Members of the gun club were visibly carrying AR-15 semi-automatic rifles, a preferred weapon of the club.

The previous Sunday, December 11, 2022, no less than three chapters of the John Brown Gun Club showed up at the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in Hartford, Connecticut. A tweet by the CT chapter of the gun club suggested that they had concealed weapons with them.
